Brief Statement about most current body of work

Landscapes

I am interested in exploring the deconstruction of the digital image and producing prints of the discovered information. Photography, historically, is saturated with the chemistry of light-sensitive materials that propelled the medium forward. Today, the attention to the code seems less important, hidden by the visual representation of pixel shifts across a digital screen or dots-per-inch on a print. In my research, other contemporary digital photographers are exploring the code, editing and "glitching" the images, however, I want to examine the code more closely. My goal is to recontextualize the image, both in theory and practice. As an artist, it is important to me to delve deeper into my medium in hopes of acquiring a deeper understanding of its framework, as it shifts, in response to an increasingly digital world.
